I know is not the only game to martial artist stuff, but that Hamakaze reminds me a lot of GBF's Kung Fu Artist.

Depends on how good is the warrior at tanking and (much more importantly) whether anyone has access to healing spells. Still a legit concern, though, since the typical RPG mage don't have healing spell and total offence can only get you so far without healing, be it item- or spell-based.

Though Paladin basically already is “The Hero” class when you think about it in the context of Dragon Quest.

Depends on if it's oldschool JRPG style or more modern or Western style RPG. I mean, 4e D&D, the best party was 1 fighter focused on being sticky, and then everyone else be a rogue or ranger or sorcerer since PCs get healing surges for days and everything but pure DPS was nerfed to uselessness.

For that matter, even in Breath of Fire 2, the only real healers were the main character and the big armadillo-like Rand, and that was in the game where using your dragon powers took up ALL your MP AP.
