Yeah, because grade-school aged children are so well known for keeping their future lives in mind when making decisions, and being shy was her deliberate strategy.... That's why I'm sure we all only socialized as much as was strictly necessary for training our social skills and played only to exercise while dedicating excess time towards getting straight As in only honors classes in school and training our future job skills. (You all DID have an accurate idea of what you wanted to be when you grew up, right?)

She seems to be like the canon Haruna who is always 'alright' even if she's being shafted. That means the only way things will change in her favor is if everyone around her does something about it. In real life there are more than a few wallflowers who literally get PTSD after pushing themselves to be assertive just once.

I think the only one we can rely on for that is Kiririn here.
