I've been wondering, but how does one create ice around a body part without freezing the blood, skin, veins inside?
I mean, if your power is control over the cold and creating ice is a result, don't you need some kind of moisture to create that much ice? In which case, wouldn't it be just easier to freeze the insides? Especially considering how much media tends to show that freezing the outside is only temporary and that eventually someone will break out somehow.
Maybe the ice comes from contact with Cirno (it encroachs from her to whatever limb you touched her with)? But even then, you'd expect to get frostbite and lose some limbs if she has that much power. Or maybe some kind of dry ice...
That is most likely possible because Aya isn't a regular weak human. If Cirno did this with a normal human without any powers, the human will most likely freeze to death.
no actually is a real physical thing, cold water particles doesn't become solid till they come in contact with dust or any other solid thing, that's what happen when a small plane goes into a cold water cloud, it instantly becomes ice and since the inner part of the wing temperature is higher than the one now covered in ice the shape of the wing changes and this make it crash. So Cirno may be smarter than we thought.

I think your thinking of Letty's power. Letty controls the cold. Cirno's power is actual power of creating Ice. Letty can do that too, but only as a side effect of manipulating cold. Kind of like how the Flash can make fire by rubbing his hands together really fast. He doesnt have fire powers, hes using his regular powers to produce a side-effect.

Who knows... What you see might not alays be true. She might be able to control cold to a high extent, where creating ice is very quick... But damn I don't know...
BTW, if she controls cold she can become invincible in theory...
