Yuka's actions are a little... odd. If she was provoking Alice to emotional release, just as planned, but still... Anyway, I wonder why number 27 was skipped; there's no image between this and post #349164 on pixiv.
I have an idea for a fic where something similar happens, but a certain blonde vampire loli gets ticked off in the process. (She knows Yuuka lied due to Marisa training with her... in the process teaching the the LMD Master Spark) I doubt ANYONE in touhou wants to face down an angry Flan-chan.

I think she wanted a more exciting Alice to mess with, but ended up gauging Alice's power wrong. She thought Alice was completely powerless.
And it could have been the artist that wrote the wrong number? Who knows.

I think Yuuka was trying to make Alice live again take care of herself as you see since Marisa's death Alice stopped going outside or caring for anything or anyone she was in shock from Marisa's death that she couldn't even cry until Yuuka provoked her out of her shock and depression. I feel sorry for Yuuka to help the person she loves she had to make her hate her. Worse now Yuuka has to live with that and that she may need to beat Alice so that she doesn't slip back into depression, thats a hard pill to swallow for anyone. Good Luck Yuuka

Everyone is bastardised in Touhou fanon. Yuka and Alice's flanderisation are some of the worst. Evil Sadist and yandere, lonely, doll otaku pervert.

It's not just emotional release Yuuka wanted. She might even be setting herself up to be killed while giving Alice a reason to live. Friends can't reach Alice any more so Yuuka gave her a villain to justify her anger. It works- the light comes back into Alice's eyes that instant.
Yuuka'll take the secret to her own grave and be remembered a monster. Alice isn't the actual "leftovers" she's complaining about; it's the scenario where this is as close to her as Yuuka will ever be. Her own guilt won't let it play out any other way.

Alice and marisa were lvoers, Yuuka loved alice.
At some point yuuka and marisa fought, and Yuuka ended up killing marisa.
Alice lost all contact to the real world because of that.
Yuuka realized that the only way to get Alice out of her depression was to really piss her off, and she did this by saying that marisa's death wasn't an accident.
If thats what happened, then danm, thats one hell of a plot!

Nope. Yuuka loved Marisa, and is helping Alice out of her depression as the only thing she can do for the one she loves, since she wasn't loved back. She knows Marisa wouldn't want Alice to let herself waste away. Yuuka is purposefully acting as if she were the bastardized yandere in fandumb to give Alice a reason to live because she loves Marisa. (Because Yuuka loves Marisa and because Alice loves Marisa. Perfect usage of ambiguous pronouns is all too scarce these days.)
@omnomimous: I am a little confused as well. Initially I thought it was about AlicexYuuka but after re-reading the second last sentence "Going to push ... your leftovers off ... on me?" I might have to agree with you.
But If we look at charin's doujins they are all about AlicexYuuka with no sign of Marisa in it.
