Nothing specific. Then again there's no oni with the ability to manipulate density and sparseness or to wield unexplainable phenomenon either. So it's probably just his specialty.

I presume it's based on the game 'Oni-gokko'. The rule says 'if the oni managed to touch you, you become another oni'. In this case, apparently 'what get transferred' and 'direction of transfer' can be controlled, and such it was used as a way to transfer injury.

Tasuke (助け), as per Wiktionary, means "aid, rescue, relief, help, assistance, support".

So, taking Rathurue's presumption into account, that may very well be the case. And as suggested earlier, it may just be his specialty.

Actually, "Tasuke Oni" is a variation of Onigokko where you are 'captured'/out if the Oni tags you, and you have to wait in a certain location until the round is over. However, you can "rescue" those who have been tagged/captured by the Oni by tagging them yourself.

The Oni can only win the round by tagging everyone without letting them rescue each other (needless to say, it's a very frustrating variation for whoever is 'it'/the Oni).
