No Rad is part right, but it was tossed last minute in the American version, because it would cause controversy. I'd still say it was cannon though, I mean succubi can do that.
The only thing I can find about the hermaphrodite thing is that it was only an idea being considered, alongside her being originally male or a half-angel of sorts. Though I'm pretty sure American sensibilities had nothing to do with her final design.
