It's been said before, but I'll say it again: for a work that features canonical duplicates and character cloning, there aren't a lot of stories like this. Most seem to ignore them.
So you have classic Kongou, Revy Kongou, and...well, what would Hayami Kongou be?
The well adjusted Kongou that acts her age and serves as an reliable older sister and leader within the fleet by the look of it. They're pretty rare, but they do exist, and also happen to be the best flavor in my opinion.

Well it depends, mechanics =/= setting in many cases after all. I'd also argue the anime and most of the officially sanctioned works while not entirely consistent with each other are consistent in seeming to not portray dupes. So I'd actually say that canonically duplicates probably don't exist.
Which isn't to say I dislike this, I actually think dupes make for interesting story potential as seen here, but the fact the evidence seems to be against them outside of gameplay may partly explain why few works explore the idea.
I do like how reasonable the Kongou who's got a friendly but not clingy relationship is.
You're not one of those 'buuurning looove' berks, then? When I had myself constructed the Admiral was already married off, see?Hayami Fleet's KongouSo he won't become gay, yes...Well, love is love and all that, but it's more like he's an older brother separated by the years?...so?How about that. His wife put her trust in me, see?The hell you doing?Funawatari Fleet's KongouHisamura Fleet's KongouI'm defending against the Admirals going gay on us!!So he won't go poofter?Don't get the water cold....so, you gonna take a protective squiz at your boss there too?If only my Kirishima hadn't made that marvelous magazine, then this wouldn't have...Oh, she made that...?
