Good thing other artists have stepped up to fill the void; several of them are surprisingly more faithful to the original art style than I expected.

True, there are several Getsuyoubi no Tawawa adult doujin out in the places where one finds such things, and some of them do look very much like Himura Kiseki's art.

Yup, that is the problem when an artist or company go mainstream, they forget the porn, the last time that Himura Kiseki did a manga for a R18 doujinshi was on the Comiket 89 on December 2015, coincidentally the same Comiket where the first Tawawa compilation doujinshi was published.

That. Modern Japanese eras are abbreviated by their first letter for documents and such. So S60 for Showa 60, H10 for Heisei 10, etc.

The Japanese realized that Reiwa Year 18 would be R-18. So much so that it ended up trending on Twitter pretty high, and soon after the announcement too.

If you can choose between immortalized as a guy who draw shapely melons and a guy who draw porn with shapely melons, which would you choose? They don't 'forget' the porn, but rather don't want to draw porn with their non-porn character--which is now their main focus-- to distinguish between the two genres.

Besides that, though, it's not really a problem. Doujin artists like Kiseki do porn-y fan fics of popular franchises even when they don't even necessarily want to because it's the only way to get noticed. Once they're popular enough that they can do whatever they want, that's when they can choose to start having original content that has the focus they choose. You can see artists like Kouji's followers nosedive as soon as he goes into his original creations.

And it goes both ways; Masamune Shirou, for example, got rich and famous enough after Ghost in the Shell became so huge that he's basically done nothing but cyborg woman porn ever since then, because that's apparently what he's really interested in.

Well, Himura him(her?)self won't do it, but some artists already did that before, like Nanase Meruchi, Harukigenia, and Yahiro Pochi.

Well, there are artists that have done porn of their own characters like Itou Hachi (a woman by the way) with Master and Me or Hamada Yoshikazu with Tsugumomo or Tennouji Kitsune with Upotte or Hagiwara Kazushi with Bastard or Sonoda Kenichi with Otaku no Video or Hashiguchi Takashi with Yakitate Japan or Shirou Tsunashima with Jinki and so on.
I am not necessarily saying that we need R18 art of Tawawa done by Himura Kiseki, for that we have already Nanase Meruchi, Harukigenia, Asahina Hikage, Yahiro Pochi and some more artists that have done a lot of doujinshi, some of them more than Kiseki, lol and some of them are still making new ones, but it would be nice if he could go the way of Nanashi after Nagatoro or Cool Kyoushinsha after Kobayashi-san or Masamune Shirow after Ghost In The Shell where they make porn sometimes even if they are already pretty famous and popular thanks to their non-R18 works. But well, if he has not published porn since more than three years ago, then I doubt he will be back again to do it, that seems to be something definitive.
