    The Fairies Strike Back

    "Gooo! Strike down the hateful demOOF!!"
    "Don't fall behind, follow the Cirno Army!! .... Wait, what? Cirno-chan!?"
    ■ Cirno Army numbers + Dai-chan army power = Enough ability that even the shrine maiden will flee. The grunt-enemy fairies wanted to do this to the main characters now and then.

    Oh. And I thought I would be the only one to recognize this guy. He's from Sazae-San (the father) and was often parodized in Nicodouga (the "umhaiiii" guy). I will add note when I found out the name.

    Anybody else notice that the 2 fairies a little to the lower right of Rider look like they're doing a certain "something"?
    For reference, it's the fairy that's looking back and blushing and the one behind here making the XD face.

    Her ability to fly is stated in her profile in every Windows game except Mountain of Faith.

    In fact, her ability to "fly" is what powers her Fantasy Heaven spellcard - she cranks the ability up to 11, and floats above reality, becoming completely invincible.

    She didn't have the power of flight in the PC98 games, though; at that time, she relied on a flying turtle to carry her.

    Its especially amusing if you read the "Bright and Shining Nature Deity"/Three Michievous Fairies manga chapter that acted as a prologue to the Great Fairy War.

    In it, Sunnymilk comments that even fairies have managed to do minor damage to Reimu in the past through sheer numbers and she mentions that fairies actually outnumber all the humans AND youkai in Gensokyo COMBINED (that's a lot of fairies)!

    So, Sunnymilk reasons that if she and the other two michievous fairies can find a way to organize all of the fairies in Gensokyo with themselves as the bosses, they can easily create their own incident that will make everyone fear and respect fairies.

    Unfortunately for them, they have short attention spans (they forget about their plan a few weeks later) and Cirno (the only fairy whose teritory they had marked with their "conquest" flag) is having none of that (she doesn't want to be anyone's suborndinate), thus setting off the Great Fairy War when she challenges the three of them!
