I'm still curious as to what they're going to do for the anime story. It could be a huge disaster if they go the slice of life route.
The JP community seems to want the serious, historical war story from the game, so they pretty much needs to go that route.
They have all the players for the major battles and also have no competition on the same historical scale. Please be good.
There's no way they'll make WW2 shipgirl version. That's a can of worms that'll never be opened. It kinda works in the game because 1) it's made by Chinese, and 2) the "war" is just a bunch of lines here and there (AL storytelling is laughable).
I think it's gonna be either SOL or shipgirls versus Sirens. Likely a combination of both.

There was a visual key from last year showing Ayanami feeding Laffey, so definitely not a complete WW2 reenactment, but probably follows the general flow of WW2 but with twists (like Zuikaku defecting like in the game?)
Kancolle anime went with mix of SOL and action, and people prefer the SOL episodes. To be fair, the actions are not very well done, so not a good comparison.
They could very well go with a revisionist WW2 route. Just got to make 70% of the first episode focus on high tech aliens explaining that they're running a simulation and that the shipgirls deserve to not be deleted if they can change their fate.

The writer in charge is Grisaia's author. It's likely it will be good.
...Oh, you mean her hair? They're prehensile (like some fanon depictions of Laffey including Xiujia Yihuizi's) , and she's using them to cover her eyes. She did the same back in post #3368647.

I actually wanting them to go slice of life. Just no KC anime messup like suddenly someone dies and no one really seems to care too much about it.Also try to avoid Axis=bad guys,Allies=good guys cliche.

Yeah, treating nazis as bad guys is almost as cliche as the Romans having some sort of empire, or Gengis Khan being a conquerer, or humans being the dominant species on earth! I can't imagine why so many stories that involve historical elements keep falling for the old "historical facts" cliche!

You are not being sarcastic right,I mean all the people from the Allies gets honored and people from the Axis only gets remembered as bad guys who wants to destroy the world,heck, I'd still mourning for the fall of the Kidou Butai and sunken ships because there is no chance for another comeback like US and others did.So no,let the Crimson Axis have their time to shine as true heroes at least for once.

The Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were meant to completely demoralize the entire empire of Japan into surrender since otherwise they will be eradicated without ever seeing their enemy.
