I was making a semi-joke on "pneuma" meaning "wind" or "breath of air" in Ancient Greek (it's the same root word for "pneumatic"). 'though I suppose it can also mean "spirit" (i.e. the breath of life), which is likely what the localizers were intending. She's part of the Trinity after all. (Making her the "Holy Spirit" of the three.)

I did play the game...and in fact they didn't combine. Pneuma was the original 'core' Master Blade-supercomputer AI core, if you wanted to stick with the lore, and one of the three besides Logos and Onthos created to control the Conduit. Pneuma already have a distinct personality before she spawned Mythra/Hikari, and Mythra spawned Pyra/Homura. So in this case, they simply reverted to what they are before.
