    with the amount of steam I am guessing she is cooling the mortar with her own urine the best she can.

    I think it was kind of emergency cooling method during the war.

    Reminds me this was the case on how water was very vital in the fight in Middle Eastern theatre of World War I where Water-cooled machine guns are part of the role. It may be an emergency but it break the equipment faster
