It involves a lot of work, careful cropping and painting.

Putting things into perspective, the doctored Stalin photo was done to "erase" a "traitor." Mutsu's pic was redone to take out a clear photobomb.

if you still dont get it, its darkroom magic, the developer will make a positive copy of the original photo and paint on it and then turn that back into a negative and then develop it, unless the original film is positive then... the the work flow will be positive>negative>positive

of course enlargers themselves are cameras they have apperture and exposure control as well meaning what Gangut did isnt impossible with the use of film cameras. if you are that damn good you can also edit the film itself and make a double exposure essentially overlaying the old photo

There were some famous examples of mutinies to join the revolution. Gangut also had a (less famous) mutinty and joined the revolution.

She was later renamed Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya after said revolution, which is also the name of her rarely-seen remodel in kancolle.

I think it is amusing that in the decades between the Revolution and into the death of Stalin, a lot of guys that backed the Revolution ended up getting executed as "traitors" with Stalin's blessing. This man, and a good number that he had in charge, are as big as a set of bastards as we can get in history.
