@NNescio I thought it made no sense for 'things that must not be seen' to be intercepted, since Gudako is seeing something that is normally blocked; if it was that the glasses allowed unseeable things to be seen, then sure. Unless 遮断 has some weird meaning that I'm not getting.

I thought that's how the grammar for 見てはならないもの works out to, and the phrase is usually used in the context of horror (especially Cthulhu-esque) stuff that "man was not meant to know". 'Must' would usually be written as …なければならない or …なくてはならない, employing double negation.
'though yeah, it conflicts somewhat with context of the comic (but "must" also conflicts a bit with the sentence, and doesn't make sense in the context of Crystallized Wisdom), as it works out to something "that shields you from seeing stuff that is not meant to be seen". I presumed it's because of partial shielding due to the shape of the lenses, with Gudako seeing two things on Panel #6 (one through the lens, one without) that broke the glamor, when I made the change.
This would work out perfectly if it were 見てならない (without the は), in which case it "blocks things that you couldn't help seeing". So you couldn't help seeing the illusion/glamor, but wearing the glasses blocks it off, letting you see things as they really are?
Edit: And panel #8 見えてないんじゃないですか should work out to "not looking closely [enough], right?", I think? (ん)じゃないですか usually works out to ではないでしょうか, with the ない element here acting as a question tag instead of negation. (Similar to one use of じゃない, but with the ですか making it explicit that it's a question tag.)
I was hoping that since 遮断 can be used for 'intercept' as in catch it could work... but alas, that's actually for intercepting a sportsball.
Although it does say that it applies to 'stopping flows'; here that could mean grabbing what you normally don't see (as it flows right past you) and force it into your face...
Maybe I just glossed over the は in an attempt to make it work in my head after staring at it too many times at 2am...
Edit: Ah, panel 8 is probably more "You're seeing BB-chan clearly" than looking closely enough, I think. (Especially if BB knows that the glasses are blocking the horror protection field, and thus she can be seen properly).
Edit2: It could also be that the BB-viewing effect is in addition to horror-blocking, just that BB is too BB to be stopped.

The kanji elements work out to "block and cut off", and (digital) Daijisen gives the definition [名](スル)流れをさえぎって止めること。さえぎって、他の動き・作用などが及ばないようにすること。「交通を遮断する」「外部の騒音を遮断する」.
Usually when I read the work in text it means something along the lines of "block", "cut off", "screen", basically cutting off the flow of something or a metaphysical/figurative line. So, yeah, it's more precise than English 'intercept', in the sense it's usually clear that whatever you're intercepting here is something that you don't want to let reach anyplace (past the 'shield' or cut-off point, in particular).
Granted, my corpus is likely biased here, because most of my personal examples (of this word I read) are in scientific literature or other similar technical context.
Edit: Oops, wrong word. Lousy online interface returning the word I didn't specify, and I derped and didn't pay too much attention. Fixed.
