I don't really have any good or bad feelings for her design, but she does look forgettable. She really doesn't feel like an American ship, nor does she feel like an SSR. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Eagle Union needs some stereotypical American designs that Japan usually uses. Recently they've sort of lost their identity and no longer stand apart from the other nations ships. Vote me down for my opinion, but that what it looks and feels like.
Hey look at that, the Essex class I was expecting to appear, finally decided to appear ^^ Not a bad design and being an Essex class I guess she'll be quite good both skill and statwise (her older sister is one of the best carriers in the game after all).
I'll be rolling for her, hopefully she'll decide to drop by... That "2% drop rate" can be rather tricky after all (ships like Washington or Essex dropped at the very first rolls of their respective events, however ships like Sirius took away like 300 cubes before dropping by).

I agree with you about this class' really pleasant looking design, however I'd like to see some exceptions every now and then... For instance if they decide to implement Hornet (Essex) someday, I would love to see some elements of Hornet's original design or her colour palette added into the mix.
For that you've got either Yorktown as is the closer you're gonna get lookwise and there was an Essex class named after her (thus covering the "daughter" part...kinda) or Mikasa (lookwise is not even close to cover the Iri look, but she's the only ship in the whole game voiced by Sayaka Ohara: Iri's voice actress).
