Sorry... But I think it is not a 'mess up'... In fact IMHO... The angle of the reflection is right...

See how the real one pretty much looking to the left? And you do realize that the mirror aren't exactly parallel to the 'you' point of view right?
From these conditions people should see some left side of her face in the mirror (right side of her 'reflection' face)...

But just to be sure... you can ask someone to pose in front of a mirror in these kind of conditions...
