I assume all the friends are meant to be the same ones from the first season, but the way Kadokawa is handling the characters so far makes it hard say that with full confidence.

I feel like they’re the next gen because there was no caracal in KF1 and this serval has little to no memory of Kaban so, maybe they’re tryin to make it where generations have memories of previous animal friends?

I don't think we've seen her personality in the anime yet other than the fact that she got eaten by a Cerulean in the 1st episode of Season 1

Yeah we never seen her personality at season 1. But her appearances from the games to manga, her shy personality is still there.
