    I did a little digging around, and apparently the plane designated F-ANRY in Voyager's hand is a Caudron C.635 Simoun. In 1935, Antoine de Saint-Exupery was on that plane when it crashed near Wadi Natrun in Egypt. He and his navigator/mechanic survived the crash yet nearly died if not rescued by a Bedouin tribesman.
