Deserved, I'd say. They are even bigger woobies than your usual cast. If Makarov's night chapter of any indication, they live and fight in super shit condition. The places they are usually garrisoned into, if it's not a HQ or some kind, are usually barely habitable even by T-Doll standard. The only saving grace they have is that they lack individuality and the ability to reason and respond like any other T-dolls.

Because that what SF plan for them before the Butterfly Incident btw. They're a Military company who make sure they build the best stuff, which latter includes T-Dolls.
Yet funny though they come with skimpy outfits, which I recall some speculate that was for "help" the human troops when not on combat duty :^)
