I had a feeling the ending might be approaching, the way the pages were slowing down and getting interspersed with more and more other stuff (having been released regularly at the same time each week aside from a handful of break weeks for several years), plus with the timeskip (albeit of only 3 days) and suddenly masses of characters that were added without getting properly introduced. It just had that "this is going to end soon" feel.
It's been a fun ride over the years, and I'll definitely miss this series. Meitoro is of course still uploading a lot of other Kancolle comics but they tend to be one-shots and feel more like quick sketches compared to the way this one has been drawn.
Heartbreaking, but I guess I should have seen the writing on the wall when dozens of new characters showed up with absolutely zero introduction as a sort of "oh, yeah, these guys existed". I figured it'd be a delayed introduction, but I guess it was just a way to quickly wrap it up by saying it wasn't all destroyers all the time.

So we never found out more about that mysterious admiral locked in a room, huh.
Presumably, she starved to death, since she was locked in a room with a ton of eaten food wrappers (but hopefully a working toilet?) and never was shown to have found some way to escape.
Notification of what will be happening from now on nanodesu! First of all, I want to thank all of you who read "Commander Inazuma" up until now so very much! The story has concluded, as I couldn't think of any good ways to draw what happens going forward. (Control of the waters around the naval base were secured!) That said, at least for the moment, Commander Inazuma has drawn to a close. That said, aside from Commander Inazuma, I think I'll be drawing lots of other things. However, even though this is the end of "Commander Inazuma", I actually have a plan for the story to continue (LOL) If I get another chance, maybe I'll draw a continuation. (But don't place too many hopes upon it!)
