Struck with grief, Orpheus wouldn't play his lyre anymore.
Even when ordered by drunken women to play at a ceremony of Dionysus (a.k.a. Bacchus), he refused and was killed.
Orpheus was torn to pieces, his head and lyre floating down the Hebrus River. Muses collected his scattered corpse and buried it in Leibethra. His lyre was taken by Zeus and made into the constellation known as Lyra.
Let's meet on the night of the full moon at the place we agreed on.
