    Bowsette 10K!

    I was told there are now over 10K images of Bowsette on both Deviantart and Pixiv.
    I haven't rendered in a while so I'm a bit rusty (and slow as usual since I tend to overrender) but I thought this was worth commemorating. Textless version here: www.deviantart.com/ayyk92/art/…

    I haven't been active with comments and stuff on dA and I apologize for that. Things were a bit hectic while this was going on so I just focused on my Twitter account, but things have slowed down enough now for me to come back to this one too

    It's absolutely incredible- if you were new to Danbooru and saw this character, and how detailed her wiki is, you'd think she'd been around for years and you were missing out.

    Bowsette's a household name in this home we call the internet and it's only 'bout to be a month since her appearance.

    Bowsette is not a meme. It is not a viral sensation. It is a phenomenon, one that hasn't been experienced on the internet, least in my experience, in years. In a sense, Bowsette is not too different from Touhou overall; a thing that just strokes the internet's ego and imagination. All it needed to do was think "I bet I could draw her like this" or "yo, what if I could do that to this character?"

    I've had so much fun watching this all unfold, lewds and all. She may have reached burnout by now, but there's no forgetting Bowsette anytime soon.

    I hadn't taken attention to the numbers for some time, so only now I realize that there's been more of the "Bowsette" tag than "Princess Peach" for a while already. Crazy.

    Also nice to see that, after being initially overwhelmed by the instant phenomenon he spawned, ayyk92 looks to have adjusted to it and be actually happy about it.
