As a horse, she should be sleeping standing up. It's not tiring for horses cause they have evolved to have their legs lock up to not use muscle. but this is cute too.

Horses can go to sleep standing when they're unsure about their surrounding safety. Which is to say, when you normally see them in the wild.
Domesticated horses, on the other hand, are known to just lay down and sleep (on their sides, even) in their stable.
Can confirm. They look so funny sleeping like dogs do after a long walk. The first time I saw a horse on its side I thought it was shot or something. They get up in a hurry though at the sound of gunshots or anything that startles them.

German Shepard (could be a mix though, got him from shelter). I also have a hot dog (dachshund) but I don't exactly expect my wiener to do much against anything but rabbits, gophers, and pigeons.

Yes and no. Horses can doze or nap laying down particularly when in a heard so there are some sleeping and others keeping watch, but it's like a trance. As soon as something startles the heard or wakes them up in some manner, they will jump upright and bolt. It's exactly the same as when they're sleeping on their feet.
