That's even worse. Kidnapping and marry because it looked similar to your ex, that's an insult to both ladies.

As has been said by anyone trying to look at the "lore" of Mario seriously has said, no matter how you look at Sunshine's changing Bowser's motivations to trying to get a stepmother for Bowser Jr., it becomes absolutely flooded with unfortunate implications.

(The original motivation was that Bowser just wanted to conquer the world, and Princess Toadstool just had magical powers that would stop him unless he kept her locked up - or presumably, killed her, but he never did that.)

At best, going the Gannondorf route in being a resurrection would be a logical conclusion

Well, the original idea of Bowser Jr. seems to be Yoshi's Island where both Bowser and Mario were babies.

It's potentially possible Bowser Jr. is time paradox baby Bowser from another dimension.

Alternately, Bowser, Koopa Troopas, Magikoopas, Hammer Bros., etc. are all considered part of the "Koopa Clan", and all the same "species" so it's possible all the major Koopas are some sort of giant mutant variety of Koopa born to relatively more common Koopa parents like a Magikoopa and a Hammer Bro. Bowser then just gathered all the mutants up and called them "nephews" (and one "niece"), plus named one "junior" in spite of no actual blood relation (or else being something more like 4th cousins or something).

Even before that I think was Nintendo Power's Super Mario Adventures comic where Bowser explicitly states he wants to marry Peach, and was being all lovely dovey about it, and he had the kooplings there too trying to get a mom, back in the early 90's, way before Sunshine.

I really can't get over how he just walking into the castle, slapped the crown on him and basically went, "Alright. You're my wife now."

Lots of details cut short. Like in the old scriptures where a man "saw" or "desire" a woman and then skip to the part telling about how they already have children.

About Bowser being a father, it becomes even more complicated when you take the Koopalings into account. Apparently now they are not considered to be Bowser's children.

They never were. They were always "nephews". (Sort of like Huey, Duey, and Lewie - they always want the on-screen characters to be single, but then have children that aren't actually their children around.)

Nah. Peach IS Junior's mother. It was giving birth to him, or more specifically his spiney turtle shell, that convinced her to get a divorce. Bowser is just bad at taking no for an answer. Gives new meaning to peach yelling for Mario's help though.
