    大学時代ののサークル仲間です
    https://twitter.com/Strangestone/status/1041484188975693824

    4年間守り通したお守り役として、社会人になってから無事にやれてるか心配でしょうがない感じだと思われます
    https://twitter.com/Strangestone/status/1041487817556156417

    今週は初代お守り役

    https://twitter.com/Strangestone/status/1041522127785152512

Tawawa on Monday #187: "So even having become a working adult, she didn't change, huh?..."

    They were circle-mates in college.
    https://twitter.com/Strangestone/status/1041484188975693824

It seems that, as the guardian who protected her throughout four years, she was consumed with worry about whether she'd made it all right since becoming a working adult.
    https://twitter.com/Strangestone/status/1041487817556156417

It's the "original guardian" for this week's theme.

Didn't expect to see Kouhai-chan and Kakyou-san hanging out together.

    EDIT:

Aha, that should explain it. Now I wanna read/see a backstory about them.

According to Himura's own tweet, yes, they're college friends.

Kouhai-chan is still a sweetie. She deserves to have good people like Kakyou-san (and her sempai) looking after her.

That would be a good OVA along with something made from Sono VI's story.

BTW, does it say something that I was able to identify the "tawawa" kana at the top right corner in but a single glance?

Also, added a third tweet by Himura that directly concerns this post; it appears that Kakyou-san playing "guardian" to Kouhai-chan is meant to be in a similar manner to Onii-san protecting Ai-chan every morning on the train, because what else would "original guardian/protector" mean?

But Onii-san Salaryman dicks Ai. Is that a guardian's duty too?

No, but it's not mutually exclusive.

Man, most of the kanji in the background are practically illegible to me; recognizing just one kanji in a particular "chain" doesn't help at all with figuring out what the whole chain means.

Got most of it, but the kanji in the middle sign in panel 2 are just too small, sketchy, and/or obscured to piece together. The one right next to the big "saké" appears to be "cherry" (桜), but I can't figure out the rest.

I see he is back with his weekly release, so I guess he's fine now. I'm glad. <3

I honestly didn't expect them to be connected, that's such a nice turn of event.

Thanks. One question, though: What is "-rst Pres-" supposed to stand for?

I can't guess what the next character was going to be seeing only one and a half radicals out of at least three, but the kanji you can see clearly is "番", which is presumably part of "一番", "Ichiban", or "First". Moonspeaker can apparently guess a brand from that, but I'm not familiar enough with Japanese drinks to do so.

From context and the visible portions, it would seem to be 一番搾り, "first pressing", a standard term used for types of beer and wine. However, the verb used means it can also be interpreted as "first squeeze", thus still in keeping with the theme of the other signs.

He shields her from the other people on the train so she doesn't get groaped, notice her normal location is right in front of the doors, with him sanwitching here between himself and said doors
