Yes, in the game, you can crash Deimos down on Mars to terraform it (by heating it). And of course, since you're playing rival megacorps, it's tempting for whoever doing the crashing to 'accidentally' direct the moon towards your opponents' holdings ('though you can only hit their farms and plantations instead of their industry).

So yeah, this isn't a colony drop. It's a MOON DROP.

(Crashing Phobos makes better sense though, from a practical real-life perspective.)

Hibiki seems to be pursuing a plant-heavy strategy in the game, which is facilitated by one of the possible megacorps you can choose, Ecoline (they get a starting plant production/resource bonus and a slight discount in using plants to acquire greenery). The main use for plants is to convert it to victory points (VP) by building greeneries.

This makes Ecoline a big magnet for all the 'PvP' cards though, which tend to involve crashing down asteroids and targeting (as an optional 'side benefit') an opponent's plant resource.
