    As far as I know, cockroaches are quite nutritious. It isn't strange to eat their cousins (beetles) in American or Asian countries. Hell, the Madagascar cockroach is huge and should be full of protein.

    Anyway, thanks to whoever translated it, it was a good read!

    Of all the insects used as feeder insects at least, they are the most nutritious and have the most protein. They are mana from heaven from any reptile, amphibian, or predatory invert keeper's standpoint. They have a decently long lifespan (months instead of weeks), and they don't stink to high heaven like crickets do. The most popular species cannot even climb sheer surfaces, let alone fly, so containment is also easier than with hopping crickets. Also, they won't bite you or your pets. A definite improvement over crickets, which can have surprisingly nasty chompers.

    Which reminds me that Bedivere's been traveling for a long ass time to say the least. If anybody is going to look at a bug and think "lunch", it's him.
