She's not half as dumb as the fandom makes her out to be. In fact she can be somewhat clever on occasion in canon, just that its 'clever' by fairy standards so she seems dumb compared to characters with the intelligence of your average teenager (just like how even a smart child can seem naive and clueless to someone older).
