I don't watch the series, so I don't know what exactly is spoilerful about this. Do you need to watch the animation, or is the first frame safe? Does the pic need to be removed entirely?

Just the first frame (thumbnail) is prefectly safe. It's the content of the animation that's spoileriffic. Should be ok to have a spoiler tag.
