I meant the danmaku!! Card game concept in general dating back more than 4 years, but Studio Yuraki involvement for turning it into animation, sure, that would be recent.
My questions are now..... is ZUN involved, directly or indirectly, moderating the content? Are these more than additional fan OVAs with characters being out of character and fan jokes/service lined up on a string a la Touhou Genso Wanderer?
Speaking of fan made Touhou anime, as long as this one is nothing like HakureiSou, it should at least be tolerable. Nothing will ever be as bad as HakureiSou, that shit was an abomination, and should be destroyed.

There is a fine border. Some fan works tries too hard to be or become the canon for both the existing fan base and NEW audience. Others make it obvious they are only taking the piss for the good clean fun fan appreciated of it all, exclusively for the existing audience and fan base. My impression of HakureiSou is the latter but my knowledge of it is limited.

I would agree, but HakureiSou is just a mash up of some of the worst touhou fan creations and memes, it's really bad. I've got no problems with people making some fan made fanon focused touhou anime, but that one went way, way to far. I really did enjoy "The Sealed Esoteric History" though, it was well made, and the voice acting talent was top notch for a doujin anime. I even enjoyed "Memories of Phantasm," for the most part. HakureiSou just made me cringe watching it though, it's the only Touhou fan anime that has ever gotten that reaction from me.

Well then! Me, having only seen the reference-rich opening sequence and a quick teaser episode, shall not touch this with a 10 foot pole! tho let us be honest. curiosity eventually killed the Котенок.
And, like the secret Zoo Level of Accounting+, this fanime wasn’t even finished... no new episodes, no pilot.. Heck, we didn’t even get new news about this project at all! I mean, just look at Studio Yuraki's YouTube channel: it’s doesn’t has any Touhou videos but just anime song covers!... why did they stop creating this awesome fanime soo we Can watch it?! Why? WHY?!?!?!
