I mean, Angrboda is a Jotunn while Loki is an Aesir, so the size difference is at least canonical. I think Loki's just worried that he's going to be kinkshamed.

(Not necessarily for the giantess thing, either; One of these parties is a shapeshifter, it's not Angrboda, and that wolf and snake DNA had to come from somewhere.)

Loki is born Jotunn but a adopted Aesir.
Its his Jotunn blood that allows him to shapeshift, anyone else remember the story about how he became Sleipnir's mommy?
Also Angrboda can probably shapeshift because she's also a Jotunn.

I don't think Loki can feel any shame for any kinks seeing as how many different things/people/creatures/items he fucked. Again, he got fucked by a goddamn horse and gave birth to its foal.

At least Angrboda seems fond of her kids here. In the myths she just lets the Gods march into her home and take all of them.

I feel like Loki's look might have stemmed from someone (like, say, Sigyn) has just walked it.

I remember a webcomic that covered that joke. Thor had drunkenly bet a contractor in the modern day that he couldn't fix a wall in a certain number of days, and when the contractor showed up with actual construction equipment and started to do it in hours, he panicked and told Loki to shapeshift into female construction equipment to distract it, to which Loki responded something to the effect of "Hell, no, I ain't giving birth to no six-legged steam shovel!"

That reminds me of this one piece of fanart with the Marvel version of Loki holding an eight-legged foal in his arms like a baby.

As a question, are Fenrir/Jormungand then offspring of Loki? I always thought Jormungand was described as being old as time.

Fenrir, Jormungandr and Hel were all born from Angrboda's heart after she got burned thrice and Loki did "something" with the heart.

Though like most of these old religous things there are different versions and stories of every event so might as well be a version where Jormungandr predated them.
