This month marks in earnest the 10th anniversary of bkub's Touhou works, starting all the way back on the 3rd/4th of April, 2008 with Chen receiving her bike. As such, some sort of celebration is warranted!

Whilst investigating various avenues for bkub works that haven't been uploaded yet, I discovered these two rough drawings of Chen via the Wayback Machine, from the 26th (right) and 28th (left) of March, 2008 respectively, just about a week or so before he started doing the yonkoma. I thought that there was no better way to celebrate this anniversary than to bring these drawings to the limelight, forgotten by the sands of time until now.

However, I will be the first to admit that this art may indeed be rather rough, perhaps too rough for Danbooru's modern standards, and I have been told as much by several individuals here whose opinions on the matter I trust. But I feel compelled to share these with you all before the month comes to a close, if at least for a short period. If the decision is made to not approve this post and have it be deleted, then so be it; I won't appeal it.

Much appreciated. Danbooru has stated its presence is to keep and document works of art that are deemed worth documenting. Bkub has come a long way and the iconic face of Chen now graces the main cast of poptepipic seen world wide.
If that is not worth documenting, I do not know what is.

Why did you upload these two unrelated pictures together with 0 context if your interest is documentation.

Gotta appreciate uploads of artist's older work to see how far they've come. Though I admit that the ones who push for deletion for uploads asinine reasons are annoying.
