I believed I've said earlier that Cloyster is my second most favorite pocket-sized monstrosity. Sometimes it's third place, sometimes it's the magnificent first spot, but I suppose the actual placement hardly matters because it's all just numbers. I just really like this clamshell.

Some of my other choices can be attributed to several biases I acknowledge myself, such as being a big fan of the Johto region and having five types I hold in better regard (bug, rock, ground, grass, fighting). Cloyster fill nothing of those criterias. Which makes this rugged crustacean a somewhat peculiar presence among my top tiers, but I suppose I really dig the looks of this sea dweller. I often hear how Gengar has the best smile to boast with, but really though, Cloyster is a strong challenger for that title. Especially so since he has been a smug bastard since the dawn of handheld gaming.

He also got Shell Smash in Gen V, so now he can also double as a powerhouse. Which I have mixed feelings about. It's great for him and all, but now I'll become a hipster just because I liked him before he was cool. Although that's snow brainer since he's part ice type. I better chill out before I pull out more cold puns.
