That silhouette reminds me of the berserk Serval from that Kemono Friends/Evangelion 2.22 animation.

I'm putting up translations anyway because nothing has moved on this series in about five months, but I really have to stress that these pages could seriously use another set of eyes, because the way these characters are speaking is on the border of intelligibility to me, and I'm guessing at a few parts.

Likewise. I'm going to assume Inugami and Yatagarasu are speaking really antiquated/accented Japanese, and I'm not sure which translators we have who could actually help you with that. But having even a guesswork translation is far preferable to none at all. Keep up the good work, and I hope it gets easier as the story progresses and rejoins the regular cast.

What really stands out here is that Inugami and Yatagarasu know Shin Goji-chan's true identity. Wonder if Goji has anything to do with the post apocalyptic state of the world: she's either come before in her original form or left enough of a footprint during human history in this timeline to be remembered by Friends as The King Of Monsters.

Most of the regular translators would have a better time than I do; I'm still fairly new at this, and rely heavily upon online dictionaries for help with all but the most common Kanji or expressions, which makes it vastly more difficult to suss out the meanings of incomplete sentences or accented words.

Beyond that, however, I suspect that the legendary beast friends know of Godzilla because Godzilla is also a form of legendary beast, not a real one. If most Friends are just normal animals with a sandstar thrown on, then for legendary beasts to exist, then there was probably some sort of (human-performed) genetic engineering that created a new creature from scratch to conform to their ideas of a legendary animal, and no more legendary beasts could be created since the extinction of humanity. They may know of Godzilla simply from having been around since Godzilla was a popular movie franchise. That does raise the question of "where has Goji-chan BEEN all this time?", of course, but you don't ask too many questions about logical consistency to the source material in crossover fanfics.

The other possibility is that legendary beasts are dragged into this world from some imaginary realm/Gensokyou, and somehow, human technology that outlives humanity was dragging in creatures even after the fall of humanity.

Either way, it's not like there were just yatagarasu lying around in zoos waiting to be turned into Friends in the regular human world in the first place, either.

An semi-official crossover (the Goji-chan design is official, anyway), but indeed.

Legendary Friends may as well be pulled in from Gensokyo, truth be told. Different types of friends have different amounts of Sandstar composition. Living species, such as Lion and Moose, are about 90% normal, 10% kemonoplasm, with the kemonoplasm being restricted to their animal traits and clothes. Extinct species like Smilodon are up to 90% Kemonoplasm in their Friend forms. Youkai and mythical/divine beast Friends... are 100% kemonoplasm IIRC. Basically, they're just a giant clump of Sandstar with no known underlying "base". How they appear is canonically unknown as well IIRC. It's to the point they're called UMAs in-game. They may be identified, but they are entirely unexplained from what I know, and acknowledged as such in the source material. In truth, the real-world reason they exist is because Mine didn't feel entirely comfortable with real-life animals getting "priority" over others in the Gacha system of the game, so he created Extinct, Cryptid (Tsuchinoko, for instance), and Legendary friends to fill the game's rare tiers.

If Goji-chan existed in this world in her full form as the King of Monsters prior, she will be the 10% KP type of friend. It's a living creature converted over, slap on some Sandstar and she's done. If she's in the ranks of Yatagarasu and Inugami Gyobu, she's pure KP and literally god only knows how she came into existence. If she's due to the dead remains of Shin Godzilla getting splashed with Sandstar... she belongs in whichever category Kaban does, which is likely the Extinct (up to 90%) category but could also be the first.

    Inugami,
If I'm gettin' ta see the King of Monsters become a Friend -nooo,
    I know I've lived a long, full life, haven't I -no?
Trying to stand up for a friend -nojya, it makes me want to help.
Besides, if she'd returned to her original form, what then?...
'Sides, I helped with the firefightin' and everythin'.
I s'pose we agree on that -jya.
I believe it unlikely that it would have wanted to fight directly in that case.
Whene'er I do everyth'n m'self, it don't give Friends the chance ta grow fer 'emselves.
Well then, wudd'n'cha hafta deal wit' tha Cerulean Hunter group too, -jya?
then next time, they should deduce how they can overcome it.
... Once more, should there be another time where such a calamity should occur,
    That is our fervent desire.
thou art not to interfere. That is regardless of whether the fire did not spread to a great extent. Yatagarasu addresses Inugami (and everyone) with an archaic term associated with feudal lords speaking to commoners.
