The IJN is the only faction that has animal girls. Not all of them are animal girls though but the ones that are have visible tails.

Unlike some of the USN destrokiddos, their ears do actually look like the real thing.

As Kard Hunter already said, IJN girls follow the youkai/animal style with some of them being catgirls, doggirls, foxgirls, oni, rabbits, cranes or anything else. Each class follows its own style.

There are also few exceptions among other nations' kanmusu: USN Sims class, USN Benson class and HMS Suffolk. While I'm not sure about Sims, but Bensons say their ears are fake (well, Laffey says so. The other two girls are quoting Sailormoon). Suffolk's "sheep ears" are part of her hair decor as well.

I did notice that (well... to be honest the first thing I noticed was that neither Souryuu nor Hiryuu had draconic traits, which feels like a missed oportunity if you ask me).

Now you're making me doubt here, the animal traits on Hammann and Sims look like the real deal... but they have two sets of ears (animal and human).
Then again girls like Ise, Aoba, Kinugassa and Jintsuu also happen to have two sets of ears aswell.

I mostly see Akagi (which I forgot about because too many tails becomes a blur) and Takao fanart being posted on Discord. Takao does not have a tail, but she has the ears. I see so much Takao and nearly no other foxshipgirl that I subconsciously saw her as the majority. She should have a tail too though.
