Why backlash against the bonus characters for that? Ivy and Sophitia would be a better argument. You'd have to be blind to not notice the shit sticking out of the rag ivy calls clothes.

Yeah but it doesn't help that most of the guests are female, there's also various other things to consider, such as some fan's disappointment at the lack of other guests, and the whole clone matter (Now if Namco bothered to give them some extra moves, then some might not be so upset); That and some people overworry about things, though DoA isn't really that much of a credible fighting game anymore.
Hopefully Namco-Bandai will pull off a Bloodline Rebellion on SCIV and actually give them unique movesets... and Hwang... and Li Long... and Edgemaster... and more custom equips... and more throwback costumes (BRING SC2 P2 NIGHTMARE BACK, BITCHES!!!).

it would be nice if perhaps soul calibur didn't have to resort to working with only a few movesets for all their characters and maybe added some new ones in now and again. simple art-swaps are kind of lazy, but perhaps the nature of competitive fighter games actually stifles that sort of diversity when it comes to the moves a character can have.
still, the character design itself is kind of badass.
also, edgemaster was awesome. THE SOUL STILL BURNS.
