There was, but it may not be well known since it was composed in 1943 after the war had begun and people tend to be more familiar with the Combined Fleet's organization as of Pearl Harbor, 1941. At the time of formation, DesRon 11 consisted of Tatsuta, DesDiv 6 (excluding Akatsuki, who had sunk), Niizuki, and Tamanami.
