The worst part is that if Lycoris Fubuki is built on this Bukki, the war effort is doomed. She could sink Admibro AND his fleet as easily as she sinks I-class destroyers.

Whelp, one baked potato coming right up. Toasted Takonuts will be served for dessert. The appetizer? Quad Torpedoes.

If she survives, Fubuki should be punished for disregarding orders from her superiors, by forever guarding a remote island in the middle of nowhere, where nothing ever happens. With Taconuts assigned to watch over her, of course.

Torpedoes < Level 140 Lycoris Fubuki especially if she sinks with Bukki.

Hm, it's just niggling at me so here's a little question, is it 'return the seas to peace', or 'return peace to the seas'?

Since the grammar of Japanese is so different from English, it's usually not best to exactly transliterate things.

The phrase used is ”平和な海を取り戻す”. 平和な海 is "peaceful seas." Peace (平和) is being used as an adjective, modifying seas (海). 取り戻す is a compound verb phrase that contains two verbs: 取る = "to take" and 戻す is "to put back" or "restore to an earlier state." So, in a very literal translation, it might be "Bring back (the) peaceful seas" or "Take back (the) peaceful seas." or even "Return (us/the world) to peaceful seas." Note that the object/verb order is switched--that's just an artifact of the differences in grammar. English is subject/verb/object, while Japanese is subject/object/verb. Exact transliterations can get very weird-sounding when the word order is different from language to language.

To make a long story short, translating Japanese to English can get really goofy-sounding if done too rigidly, so it's probably better the way that Paracite wrote it.

Quick note: 'transliteration' is just writing one language in the alphabet of another, e.g. using Romaji to write Japanese. The transliteration of 平和な海を取り戻す to English is just "heiwa na umi (w)o torimodosu". (Similarly, transliteration to Japanese is where the so-called 'Katakana English' come from) You're looking for literal/direct translation.

I also think he might be referring to that I've quite possibly used both 'return the seas to peace' and 'return peace to the seas' as the translation (it's popped up quite a few times, and Kouji puts them up pretty late at night (late enough that I'm asleep sometimes), so I'm not always awake enough to remember what I've done previously). Because as you said, 'bring back the peaceful seas' sounds a little goofy in English, especially for something that's supposed to have gravitas; especially as it's supposed to be active-sounding (in that you're going to bring it back through your actions, rather than just in general).

Crap, you're right about "transliterate". Not sure what I was thinking there.

    Please, listen to reason!
If you're not there for it, Commander,
    there's no point!
    DESTROYER FUBUKI, SETTING SAIL!
You want to return the seas to peace, right!?
    STOP, FUBUKI!!
Even if I do get it back!!
Without the divine protection of a uniform, even a destroyer-class's attack is a threat.
But a Hime-class... If I were to receive even a single blow...!!
