To me, it kind of looks like Azur Lane is trying to out dog Kancolle in the sex appeal department by doubling down on breast size while investing in the boobs on display association and fantasy character type society. Which seems kind of foolish to me, because Kantai Collection already put a lot in the sex appeal department from the start.

I would say that the logical conclusion of this theory in practice is going to be a company making a game about girls in bikinis with guns fighting tentacle monsters, but someone probably already made a game like that, so it's not really an interesting point of argument, but still.

well even though AL instructs artists to make characters based on their minds, but it's artists decision to make them more sex appeal.

Don't know if it's intentional or not, but I have to agree on the sex appeal. South Dakota looks great but that top and outright areola slip in official art.

The German rigging feels a bit overstylized, what with sentient jaw heads...well at least it isn't like the warship girls one. Then again, gotta make thing differ in one way or another.

AL does have lolis tho (especially when their KC counterpart is a full grown adult)
