Muppo is eating Curls here though, as a counterpoint to the whole Pocky day thing. As far as I'm aware, Japan doesn't really do ring candies, in either the Lifesaver or Polo mint varieties. Mints come in the standard gum-pillow and pill-shaped varieties, basically.
