Well in chinese mythology the Dragon is a being that is matched only by the Phoenix
so maybe this is the co-relation

Looking at Twitter, the artist was saying "if you don't get why Houshou is there, look her up on Wikipedia".
So I did. Apparently she was going to be named Tappi (竜飛, after Tappi-zaki Cape) during the early planning stages of her construction but they ended up switching to Houshou at some point. Interesting tidbit of info.

Would explain why Houshou's fangs seems much smaller than compared to the rest of them.

Dat "Ryu" (dragon) kanji. Dunno about the name itself though, I thought it's gonna be read as "Denryuu".
