Last time I watched was when the second season aired so my memories of it ain't much fresher than yours, maybe Wakiko just wanted some other rodent instead of rabbits and choose ferrets? Maybe she just like ferrets? Maybe it has some deeper meaning you and I will never know since no one will ask her?
