TBH, although the tropes/archetypes pretty much old and overused (wonder who started about blonde archer female in green clothes, record of lodoss?)..
I can never get enough of it.. it usually become my main interest.
Same. Sometimes things become classics because they just work really well.
EDIT: Actually, I just went and did a search here for elf bow_(weapon). Majority of the results are blonde and wear green clothes, runner-up being white-haired and green clothed, and a distant third being white-haired dark elves.

It seems to me like the image hails from the basic DND image of female elves from way back.
