Well yea, there's still a difference of being naked because of damage and wearing revealing skimpy clothes than a proper uniform, tho can't say the same for the likes of Nagato pre K2 and Iowa.

If they're embarrassed about wearing skimpy things, wouldn't they also be embarrased about the same thing when their clothes are torn? It's for the same reason.

Actually they do,when they are damaged some of them will say that is embarassing.the point here might be the damages are repairable but the outfits in Azur Lane are THAT exposed even when not damaged.
KC Yamashigu's reaction sums up the way I feel about the AL shipgirls' outfits compared to their KC counterparts. The AL girls' outfits give me the vibe that they are aimed towards fanservice from the get-go while the KC girls for the most part have some sense of (Mildly Military) uniform and even Yoshinori's shipgirls (except for newbie bait Shimakaze) tend to have some sort of reference to a historical event or a reference to the design of their historical counterparts. Also, all the fanservice the KC ships get from clothing damage gets old (or becomes rage inducing) pretty quick after one event.
Don't understand. They have always gotten their clothes torn when fighting. What the heck are these people talking about...Yamashiro and Shigure from Azur LaneWhat's up with these clothes! Shameless!People can see our undies!
