I'm not a gun owner, but I also noticed something is wrong here.

In Shinon's defense, you can clearly see the clip removed and on the floor. It's not obvious that there's no round in the chamber though, so I can understand being angry here.

I get that she's technically in a VR sim, but seeing it makes me shiver and I'm not even a gun owner
