DP時代サトシの戦術のひとつ。放射系の攻撃を回転しながら放つことで相手の攻撃をガードしながら、攻めも同時に兼ねるタクティクス。そのまんま反撃の盾＜カウンターシールド＞である。シリーズ終盤でもたびたび登場し、ライバルのシンジも使用した。

• Counter Shield:

A move Ash uses in the DP era. By firing an emmition-type move while spinning, one can guard against attacks and attack at the same time. Since this tactic can shield and counter simultaneously, it was named the "Counter Shield". It appeared in the series' finale, and rival Paul used it at one point.
