I would like to inform you, however, that the bayonet is too short as far as I can see.
The length of the gun itself is 39.25 in (1000 mm), and the bayonet is 16 in (406 mm).
The bayonet should be about half as long as the gun, with the handle taking up a little under 1/4th the total length.
(Just thought this might help for future works involving the M1917 bayonet, or the M97 Trench-Gun.)
