Well, some human tribes clearly have no cannibalism taboo. But, as far as I know, squids and octopi don't need starvation conditions to actually do it. They do it because they feel like it.

Bit of a goalpost shift there - we've gone from 'They occasionally do it ergo apply broad strokes' to motive and situational circumspect. But are we really willing to juggle semantics in a series with Octopus titties?
