Not really. That's like saying "birds tend to be flightless, swim, and live in Antarctica" because a few species do.

Anyway, Yamame, IIRC, is based on the Argiope spider, whose mating pattern is based upon a male weaving a web nearby until the female accepts him, and they move in together.
