Aren't most of the other girls also around their size? (No Tomo, not you. Sit down.)
My working theory is that the Tawawa-verse probably has more girls of Ai's size than ours, but still rare enough to stand out. There's too much admiration and surprise surrounding these girls for them to be that common.
You know, there is something that I've noticed a long time ago, and I should've brought up earlier.
Namely, the following posts may not actually belong to the Mondy Morning Offerings series:
post #2005520: Technically a "Monday Morning Offering special", with no assigned number. Subsequent posts proceed with the numbering as if it didn't exist at all.
post #2456211: No source cited. That said, it's an actual comic with dialogue that, from the looks of it, appears to be taken directly from one of the Getsuyoubi no Tawawa manga.
What do you think? Am I on to something, or am I overthinking it? We do have precedent for Tawawa-related pics by Himura-sensei that aren't actually part of this pool.

Neither of those posts were posted on a Monday, judging by the dates they were uploaded, or the relevant date for the first post's source; the second one has no cited source, but like I said, it's evidently a page from a manga.
... In fact, I just cross-checked with the private digital copy of the Getsuyoubi no Tawawa volumes that I have, and the second post perfectly matches one of the pages in it. The volume in question bears a release date of "August 14, 2016", which I've personally confirmed that it falls on a Sunday.
So yeah, neither of the two hold up to that criterion, even when only counting the dates for the sources.
The one Japan officially follows, obviously. Such dates aren't changed between the raw original and fan translations, from my experience... especially since the relevant page is still in Japanese (i.e. the fan translator didn't even touch it).

I don't know what kind of format that digital copy is, but I just wanted to say that the timestamp shown in a file may change according to the time zone and system in which it is being visualized. I also don't know in which time zone you are...
Anyway, I TL;DR'd your initial post and didn't check the posts you were referring to, so I thought the problem was something else... Now that I have read it properly and checked the posts, my two cents are:
1st post: I believe it would be fine to leave it in the pool, since there seems to have no other special pictures. Every Monday Morning Offering Special is a Monday Morning Offering, but not all Monday Morning Offerings are Monday Morning Offering Specials. If there was more than one, I believe it would be preferable to have a pool dedicated for those specials.
2nd post: Since you said that picture comes from a volume, it would make sense to have it pooled with the other pictures of the same volume, if they existed. Since they haven't been uploaded, I would say that it shouldn't be in the Monday Morning Offerings pool. The problem I can see here is that it will probably end up back into the pool again even if you remove it since it would be logical to associate an Ai-chan drawn in blue with the Monday Morning Offerings pool.
